What’s included

What we do and how it looks

  • Thermal insulation on the inside of external walls, without altering the façade.
  • Acoustic insulation for party walls between flats or commercial premises.
  • It also covers uneven walls and provides space for new services behind.

What the price depends on

What affects the price

  • The wall area in square metres.
  • The insulation: wool thickness and whether it’s thermal, acoustic or both.
  • How many windows and sockets need adapting to the new wall surface.
  • Whether damp needs treating first.

With your measurements, we’ll give you an estimate today; a fixed price when we measure up.

Inside

What you can’t see is well built too.

  1. Your wall. External or party wall. It stays as it is.
  2. Separate frame. Set away from the wall, with new services running behind it.
  3. Mineral wool. Between the studs: keeps out cold, heat and noise.
  4. Plasterboard in front. Gives you a straight wall, even if the one behind isn’t.
  5. Taped and filled joint. Ready to paint.

Questions

What people ask about wall lining and insulation

How many centimetres does dry lining take up?

A few centimetres per wall, depending on the insulation. You’ll barely notice the lost space, but you’ll notice the comfort.

Does it help with street noise?

It helps with noise through the wall, but street noise mainly comes through windows. We’ll explain that clearly when we visit.

Is it the same as insulating outside?

No. Insulating inside costs less and doesn’t need approval from the owners’ association; outside insulation covers the whole façade. It depends on your situation.
